Hi

I do hope that somebody here is able to help me.

I'd like to reactivate a Trailblazer XL. Of course it has no current
almanac in his memory - so it will take a long time to the first fix.
Therefore I'd like to supply external power. Of course I don't own
the power cable so I'm in the need of connecting the power supply
direcctly to two of the five connector pins:

Pin 1 is connected to battery-, but which pin is battery+?

Thank you very much in advance for any helpful hint.

Best regards

Reinhard

I'd expect it would get a first fix in about 10 minutes even w/o a full
Almanac. Worst case 12.5 - 15 minutes. Note that your receiver was
built before the week rollover date (1999.08.21) - interesting to see if
it fixes that itself. (Manual date/time entry may be a help in getting
acquisition along with position within a 100 km or so).

I looked all over, can't find anything. (I'm sure you did the same).

I'd guess pin 2 is + with the other pins for RS-232 or other serial data.

Be assured!

Knowing is better than guessing ;-) ...

BTW: It seems that tne Trailblazer's connector pinning is the same as
the pinning of Magellan's Explorist.

Good night
